Tottenham travel to Anfield on Sunday with confidence sky high in the race for a top four finish, the latest boost coming when Gareth Bale stole the spotlight yet again in a crucial 2-1 win over Arsenal.
“The season is not finished. There are 10 games to go so we have to keep concentration and be focused on the end of the season,” said Lloris.
“Of course it’s better to be in this position than Arsenal although we have to keep a lucidity of the situation.
“The most important thing is to be in the Champions League next season and I think we have to keep our ambition.
“We don’t know what can happen so we have to keep going, not look at the other teams and be focused on ourselves.
“But it will be another game next Sunday. Liverpool are playing maybe the best football in the Premier League at this moment.
“They proved that in their last game against Wigan. It will be a very difficult game but very exciting game in Anfield.”
Tricky games against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton remain for Andre Villas-Boas’ side, who will also need no reminder that they surrendered a place in the Champions League last season by letting a 10-point lead over Arsenal slip in the home straight.
However Spurs captain Michael Dawson thinks Spurs have the qualities to make sure that does not happen this season, however.
“We have got some tough games coming up but the Arsenal win has put us in a good position,” the 29 year-old said.
“We showed fighting spirit and commitment that you need to win football matches.
“We didn’t have much of the ball for the first 20 minutes but we showed grit and determination.”
