Hugo Lloris started off the 2013/14 season pretty well, keeping 4 consecutive clean sheets (1 for France, 1 in the Europa & 2 in the EPL).
He had many great games in a France and Spurs shirt and some he might want to forget about. He kept clean sheets in all the Europa League games he was featured in.
He kicked off the season with a clean sheet against Crystal Palace, after the team won 1-0. When Arsenal hosted Spurs in the first North London derby of the new season, they took first victory, winning 1-0. Although Spurs lost, Lloris was seen as the MOTM by many football outlets because of his performance. Arsenal could have won by more. He was also the MOTM when Spurs traveled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
He might want to forget the games against Manchester City, Liverpool, West Ham and Everton. One match he did not deserve to lose was the Capital One Cup match against West Ham. In the Europa League, he was pretty much awesome., keeping clean sheets in all the games he featured in.
Lloris kept a clean sheet in the first match for France at the start of the season against Belgium. This friendly ended in a 0-0 stalemate. He had a bad game against Belarus because he had a stomach bug (according to Deschamps). Lloris played 7 games for France, keeping 5 clean sheets and conceding only 4 goals.
Well, it’s the season report 🙂
