Reports claim that Hugo Lloris will be offered both a new (improved) contract and the captaincy ahead of next season at the Lane, that is if the current captain, Michael Dawson leaves the club. A number of reports has been linking Dawson to a move away from Tottenham Hotspur with Hull being the most likely destination for the skipper.
As for Lloris, the French skipper has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but I recalled him saying sometime in the season gone by that he does not want to return to France so soon. Yet, Lloris wants to play Champions League football and guess who can offer it to him? PSG.
New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino would like him to stay, but just in case Lloris decides to leave, he is looking at back up keepers. A new and improved contract would be fine and I think it’s only logical to hand Lloris the captaincy.
I mean, why not? He’s already shown he can lead and he’s captain of France.
We’ll see after the World Cup.
